Description

Summary of the Position

Build and develop customer relationships while responding to telephone and e-mail inquiries, providing updates on customer requests, and look for new and additional sales opportunities. Occasional business development presentations to prospect B2B wholesale and commercial customers.

Key Essential Responsibilities
  • Communicates with customers to confirm availability and pricing, process orders or resolve problems, answer questions relating to product comparisons, delivery schedules and delays, any additional information needed by customer.
  • Maintains all quote documentation with accurate pricing.
  • Processing customer orders to ensure they are accurate and delivered on time as requested.
  • Works in cooperation with Business Development Managers, Purchasing, and Supply Chain to facilitate customer communications and satisfaction.
  • Works in cooperation with Finance and Accounting department with credit limits and overrides.
  • Develops an in-depth knowledge level of products and service capabilities.
  • Participates in training and sales meetings to stay up to date on the latest developments, trends, regulations in the marketplace.
  • Processes warranties and completes proper documentation on a timely basis.
  • Assesses and reports on competitor activities and identify sales trends and opportunities.
  • Makes outbound calls to existing and potential customers.
  • Occasional visits and/or sales calls at customer locations.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Other Requirements
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, detail oriented, and able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, and best practices in customer service; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers.
  • Have a high degree of computer skills including Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to sit at a computer/desk for prolonged periods of time while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people all day.
  • Tenacity to handle rejection and continue with a positive attitude when interacting with customers.
  • Minimum 2 years sales and/or customer service experience.
  • Have a valid drivers license.
