Current enrollment in an accredited junior college or four-year university pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related field.

Assists with the design and development of software applications on all platforms;
Applies required design patterns and development methodology;
Analyzes business requirements and technical specifications;
Designs, documents, tests, creates, or makes modifications to software applications;
Works with a team of software developers to deliver products on time;
Attends and participates in meetings, training, and information sessions;
Commits self to providing excellent customer service and demonstrates commitment
through cooperative team and individual efforts and
Creates a high-quality work culture through participation in and emphasis on training
and mentoring to develop leadership, management, and technical skills in self and
all employees, including safety-related training and skills.
Job Summary
Summary of Position
The Software Developer Intern performs software development work required to support the activities and operations of the assigned division. Must maintain a professional caliber of attire and decorum at all times. May include the possibility of a virtual work schedule, depending on the area of assignment.
Additional Information
Knowledge of: general office practice and business, application software development are preferred; computer software and hardware operations; standard software applications; computer peripherals; the principles and practices of effective customer service; English usage, grammar, punctuation, and spelling; techniques for effective interpersonal communications; modern office procedures, methods and computer equipment to include Windows and Microsoft based products.
Skill/Ability to: come up to speed on new applications and technology in a very short amount of time; be detail oriented, with strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills; be able to plan and execute work both independently and as a team member; display a high degree of self-motivation; identify, troubleshoot, research and provide solutions to hardware and software problems; communicate technical issues and solutions to a non-technical audience; operate personal computer using standard office operating software and general office equipment; prepare and maintain records, compile and organize information; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; prepare clear, written and electronic reports, and staff studies; and establish and maintain cooperative and effective relationships with those contacted during the course of work. Must pass a background investigation.
