Maintenance Technician Level #2 (Experienced)

Dillard’s Distribution Center located in Gilbert, AZ is looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual to be responsible for performing all trade levels of building and machinery maintenance tasks. Candidate will perform higher level maintenance, fabrication, and machine troubleshooting in multiple distribution process fields including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and industrial automation. Employment is conditional upon successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, reference verification, and background check.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Resolve production stoppages as quickly and as safely as possible.
  • Closes and assigns Work Orders and instructions to complete various tasks.
  • Able to troubleshoot electrical down to component level with the absence of power.
  • Able to troubleshoot photo sensors, repair and/or adjust timers and proximity switches.
  • Must have some PLC knowledge in adjusting and installing timers and sensors.
  • Performs facility assignments i.e. plumbing repairs, repairs lighting from bulbs to ballasts.
  • Repairs dock doors, dock plates, HVAC work i.e. adjusting, cleaning, replacing belts and lubricating belts.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on all equipment and tools.
  • Communicates with all technicians and managers to discuss work process and problems, for the best techniques for various maintenance and repair needs.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Must have the ability to closely follow safety guidelines.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • The ability to read and understand vendor supplied specification sheets.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools, such as saws and hammer drills.
  • Has understanding of reading electrical schematics and blueprints.

MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

  • 3 Years

  • Communicate effectively with team members, co-workers, and management.
  • Work in adverse conditions such as: confined space, fall arrest equipment for access to high areas, and all required PPE.
  • Ability to distinguish frequencies, sounds, colors, and odors in operation equipment in order to troubleshoot and perform repairs.
  • Able to apply methods, practices and procedures in preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and renovation.
  • Ability to learn quickly and retain knowledge.
