User Support Specialist

Dillard’s is looking for a User Support Specialist. This person will maintain various applications, which entails system administration skills, basic computer knowledge and documenting procedures for end users and developers. The User Support Specialist evaluates a given problem, diagnoses it to find the root cause, and then either solves the problem or involves the relevant business group. This specific position will be involved with integrating automated warehousing solutions into the current distribution systems.


  • Maintain application security.
  • Identify, develop, and document functionality changes.
  • Create documentation from scratch, or modify existing documentation, to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Communicate with users to identify procedures followed and source of error.
  • Communicate with programmers to explain software errors, recommend changes to programs, or take recommendations on procedure changes.
  • Test software and hardware to evaluate ease of use, business relevance, and if the product is working as intended.
  • Develop training materials, such as presentations and job aids.
  • Train users on software and hardware on-site, in classroom, or remotely.


  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Ability to work onsite at Corporate Headquarters in Little Rock, AR
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point) is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise software from both a technical and user perspective.
  • The ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, both in a team setting and independently.
  • Strong organizational skills


  • 2 Years


  • Retail store management experience, or
  • Distribution management experience.
