The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You will be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge! Our Mobile Software Intern will work with the team to create and update Zebra software applications.

***The intern is required to work in the Lincolnshire, IL Office- Hybrid minimum of three days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills
  • Increase technology knowledge and skills
  • Develop team-based work proficiencies
  • Develop interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow up activities

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in a Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Must have a status of a Junior or above while in a undergraduate degree with an anticipated graduation date between Dec/May 2024, 2025, or 2026.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must reside within 50 miles of the primary work location – Lincolnshire, IL
  • Must have knowledge of computer programming and have the ability to demonstrate writing or debugging a program
  • Basic Debugging knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of databases

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS/MA anticipated graduation date between 2024-2026
  • Has interest in Mobile Application Development and working with peripheral devices, such as printers.
  • Write and explain what Classes and Methods do and their use
  • Fundamental knowledge of Mobile development
  • C++ Development experience/knowledge
  • Java Development experience/knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
  • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Salary: USD 19.00 – USD 42.50 Hourly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement.
