Assistant Buyer/Executive Development Program-EDP

This program is designed to help prepare candidates for a career with Dillard’s in fashion merchandising/buying. EDP members will begin training as an assistant buyer assigned to a buyer in our Little Rock Divisional office. On-the-job experience is supplemented by training seminars presented by company executives offering a combination of theory and practice.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist buyer in monitoring sales, inventory levels and profitability
  • Assist buyer in analyzing and reacting to market trends.
  • Assist buyer in financial planning and execution.
  • Daily follow-through with buyers and vendors to ensure timely shipment of orders

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, related field or related experience
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong business analytical and math skills
  • Professional and flexible attitude.
  • Able to operate on a daily basis in a fast paced environment.
  • Flexible work schedule for traveling, achieving deadlines, and training.

DESIRED SKILLS
