Formulates functional inks for the development of new sensor products that show a response to environmental stimuli. Working hands-on. Plans and conducts lab experiments, interprets results to support research and development projects. Characterize and analyze ink properties of various functional materials suitable for sensor products.

This position will require you to be in the office 5 days a week. This is NOT a remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Formulates functional inks for Environmental sensors. These include both water-based and solvent-based systems.
• Conducts Rheological assessment of formulated inks using Rheometer and other similar techniques to ensure suitability for designated printing process (Screen printing, Flexo Printing,
• Gravure printing and/or dispensing of inks, etc.)
• Conducts analytical evaluation of ink properties using techniques such as DSC, FTIR, UV/VIS.
• Works independently in the lab with minimal supervision
• Conducts research in lab environment and writes reports based on findings.
• Scout patent landscape for new product offerings
• Assists in Pilot Trials where formulated inks are used to print sensors
• Design and conduct suitable test methods to evaluate sensor performance
• Assist in transfer to manufacturing.
• Maintains and adheres to all company safety policies and procedures.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or similar discipline (advanced degree considered)
• Minimum Work Experience (years):
  • Six to nine years in related field

Salary: USD 92700.00 – USD 139100.00 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement.
