Education and Experience: Associate’s degree or higher in social/behavioral science, business administration, or related field, and one (1) year of customer service experience.

Licenses and Certificates: Valid Texas Class “C” Driver’s License or equivalent from another state.

General Purpose
Under general supervision, this position provides information and general assistance to the public. Provide administrative support, collection of data, and program assistance. Involves receiving calls and inquiries from the general public, documenting all relevant information, and completing all required forms.

Typical Duties
Provide customer service and serve as the primary contact for clients, and program applicants. Assist customers and the general public. Receive, direct, and process incoming calls, emails, and walk-in clients who may encounter accessibility issues or discrimination. Respond to customer inquiries and questions regarding services, referral services, and basic and general City and municipal service inquiries. Direct customers to appropriate contacts within the City. Assist the public with the completion of forms. Gather information and follow up with potential clients as needed for investigation and evaluation. Provide fast and accurate customer service.

Responsible for data entry and maintenance of client databases to track efforts and outcomes to produce required reports. Involves: Quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis. Collects, assembles, analyzes, and evaluates facts to draw logical conclusions and make proper recommendations; prepares clear, concise, and comprehensive reports that require displaying and presenting statistical, graphical, and other reporting methods to audiences of varying technical sophistication.

Maintain up-to-date information and knowledge regarding ADA, Fair Housing, Title II, and Title VI. Involves: Screening the needs and status of clients for program eligibility and conducting intakes of potential clients. Provide information and referral services assistance. Assists with conducting community workshops, presentations, and events.
