McDowell County EMS is a progressive 911 EMS agency that staffs five paramedic EMS units, with multiple schedules offered. The agency serves one local hospital and one regional trauma center. Working 24-hour shifts, 12-hour shifts and 8-hour shifts our medics can enjoy their time off hiking, biking, and enjoying all the activities that the mountains of Western North Carolina have to offer. The flexible schedule, progressive protocols, and top of the line equipment are just a few things that make McDowell County EMS a great place to work.
