The candidate that is selected for this position will receive a $250 hiring bonus after a period of three months of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Any combination of education and/or experience that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for satisfactory job performance. High school graduation or equivalent is required. Example combinations include relevant experience and/or training in Recreation, Physical Education, or a related field.

Knowledge and Ability: The successful candidate will have the ability to work with youth and adults providing exceptional service, follow written and verbal instructions, answer phones, and be able to communicate clearly and concisely with staff and members of the public while exercising good judgement, courtesy, and tact with staff and public., ability to life 50 pounds..

License/Certification Requirements: Valid Class C California Driver License and acceptable driving record.

GENERAL DUTIES: Under general direction, the Recreation Leader will organize and supervise a wide variety of facility functions. Responsibilities will include:

Assist in the planning, promoting, conducting, and evaluating of recreational programs and activities.

Facility set up/breakdown and decoration.

Interact and stimulate interest while conducting and supervising program activities including but not limited to sports, games and contests, special events, art and crafts, and other social activities.

Assist with coordinating and supervision of community special events.

Inspect assigned recreation facilities and/or equipment; report necessary repairs.

Set up tables and chairs for facility reservations and events;

Clean work spaces including City facilities.
