Position Summary
The Student Reengagement Coordinator focuses on students who have stopped their educational journey and supports their re-enrollment into Bellevue College. This position serves as a central point of contact for student to access the resources and coaching needed to re-enroll in school and get back on track to graduate with their chosen career. As part of the retention team within the advising department, the coordinator will work with a team dedicated to supporting students achieve their educational goals.
Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule
Annual Salary Range: $53,827 – $75,401
Annual salary will be commensurate with candidate’s qualifications and related experience.

About the Department
The Academic Advising Department supports the mission of Bellevue College by providing high quality, needs-based and accessible services, which support student access to and completion of educational opportunities that advance pluralism, inclusion, and global awareness. The Department is comprised of trained and experienced professionals who work directly with Bellevue College students to meet their goals. Academic Advising provides complex comprehensive and timely service and information for students, faculty, and other staff related to and in support of transfer and professional/technical academic programs.
Essential Functions
Student Retention & Reengagement
• Identify students who have stopped attending Bellevue College.
• Proactively reach out to identified students to support their reenrollment.
• Identify specific barriers to completion at the time of disengagement and refer students to critical campus resources to support their success through completion.
• Clarify educational and career goals with students.
• Create educational plans for students re-entering the college.
Campus Engagement
• Liaise with campus stakeholders to create an effective handoff with students as they reengage with the college
• Work on the development, implementation, and support of innovative practices, policies and programming that promote student achievement and degree completion with an emphasis on students who have stopped out.
• Facilitate training sessions for faculty and staff on retention best-practices.
Data keeping and reporting
• Maintain administrative record keeping, student contacts for annual performance reports, and documentation for student and program outcomes
• In collaboration with the Student Success and Retention team, monitor student retention data and assist in the development and implementation of success programs by incorporating data analysis and current research into campus-based retention and case management efforts.
• Create follow-up surveys to assess outreach effort, status of student, and to attain other pertinent information to help with future outreach efforts.
• Utilize TargetX, a Client Relationship Management System, to track students’ interactions and outreach efforts.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in student services, education, educational administration or a related area. Relevant work experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis
• Two years of experience providing academic advising in a higher education environment
• Experience using with Salesforce (TargetX) or a similar Client Relations Management system.
• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Teams and OneNote (Office Suite)
• Ability to use computers for data entry, web applications, searching the internet, and troubleshooting basic computer issues
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse groups of people both orally and in writing in one-to-one and in group presentation settings
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment with diverse employees and student/customer groups.
• Ability to thoroughly assess needs of individuals and exercise good judgment in decision-making
• Ability to work effectively with others in a team
• Effective analytical skills with ability to solve problems
• Willingness to work some evening and weekend hours
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Student Development Administration, Education, Counseling or related field.
