Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT, Certified)
Location: The Children’s Institute, 1405 Shady Avenue, Squirrel Hill, PA 15217
Starting Pay Rate: $16.29 / hour, additional compensation based on experience.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday (No Weekends)
About the Team
The Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program at The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh provides comprehensive and holistic services for children with autism and related disorders between the ages of 18 months to 21 years old. We offer a range of programs, including both individual and Group Therapy to best meet the needs of each child. We provide individual and group ABA services in a clinical setting. Parent training is a key part of our program and can occur in person in the clinic or via telehealth. The ABA program collaborates directly with in-house speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, behavioral health, and nutrition/feeding programs where appropriate.
About the Position
The Certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides one-on-one Applied Behavioral Analysis services to children, youth, and young adults with autism spectrum disorder in a center-based setting. Working in the ABA Clinic as an RBT will consist of:
- Providing interventions and procedures as prescribed in the individualized treatment plan including reinforcement, extinction, verbal behavior intensive teaching, discrete trial training, Natural
- Environment training.
- Providing 1:1 or group ABA services in home and community-like setting.
- Completing billing, documentation, and trainings/supervision within specified timeframes.
- Providing crisis intervention when needed (training will be provided).
- Maintaining data collection procedures outlined in treatment plan and per BCBA instruction.
- Demonstrating professionalism and courtesy when interacting with clients and families.
- Meeting productivity targets for billable service delivery.
- Providing Telehealth services including partial telehealth in which services are delivered in-person and clinical oversight is delivered via telehealth.
- Directing telehealth in which services are delivered by the RBT via interactive video.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience working with clients aged 2-21 years with ASD diagnosis.
- Must hold Registered Behavior Technician certification. Certification must be maintained.
- Two years experience working as a behavioral health technician preferred.
- Experience with telehealth and group services preferred.
- Act 73 FBI, Act 34 Criminal Clearance, Act 33 Child Clearance
- Current and valid certification in CPR and First Aid is required (CI will provide training).
